Now: September Semester Siesta

,

What I remembered from this week is that I completed my last summer semester at Oregon State University. I’ve slowly been working through a Bachelor of Science degree since 2020 and will finally finish the program this coming Spring 2027.

And this past week I closed out my Dynamic Planet course which is basically a science/geography course all about weather and climate patterns for Earth. Not my favorite subject but still interesting given that I live in a unique humid and rainy weather climate here in northeast Florida.

And now I have a siesta from school for most of the month of September.

Of course I am making the most of it by enrolling in another course on Business Intelligence with Maven Analytics. Ya know just to keep my mind busy.

So this post I’ll lay out my September plans… my fiance and I are doing a little getaway to St. Augustine next week as we close out the season of settling into our new home and step into the autumn season of establishing grounded rhythms.

While I’ll take a reprieve from posting next week, stay tuned for more posts being pumped out every Tuesday and Friday going forward. I’m excited to make this little blog something consistent and captivating as I share about my home life happenings, self-care habits and creative pursuits.

One thing I’ll be starting late September is teaching Pilates once again at a studio near where I work my corporate job. It’s at Spring Pilates Tapestry Park and I’ll be there every Sunday. I’ve been taking classes there since the week I moved back to the area and finally decided to pick up teaching once again.

So this September looks like…

  • A very special St. Aug getaway with my Love…
  • A seamless blogging schedule…
  • A step toward greater business analytics proficiency…
  • And a fresh start to teaching Pilates.

All good things, one step at a time towards building the life of my dreams.

Getting authentic with things

One thing I want to confess before we move forward is that I’ve been using ChatGPT… a lot. And because it has become way too easy to be dependent on it I’m cutting off my subscription this month.

So far it’s helped a lot with plotting out my life and even planning out this blisskeeping blog. But then I started getting lazy and prompted it to write my posts and pages. Eeek… so inauthentic!

From here on out I’ll be writing my own posts and only use the framework that AI helped me map out to guide my process.

Why Now?

I’m a pretty decent writer if I do say so myself and have a unique style, so why would I rely on a bot to write for me?

The truth is I love brainstorming but I always have resistance to writing before I get started. Once I get past that though, things flow. So here I am learning to get back into the groove and sharpen my skills and share with the world.

I’d love for you to join me on the journey, so feel free to comment anytime. For now, share one thing you are starting and one thing you are stopping this lovely September.
